THEATRE

Darren Dunstan is a singer/actor who has lived in New York for 10 years. Originally from Toronto, he studied music and theatre at The Boston Conservatory (Master of Musical Theatre) and University of Toronto (Bachelor of Music). His credits include regional productions of Glorious! (Cosme – Arkansas Rep), Assassins (John Wilkes Booth), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd), The Secret Garden (Neville Craven) and Godspell (Jesus), and performed at Radio City Music Hall with the National Tour of Pokémon Live!. Darren had his Lincoln Center debut in Triumph of Love at the Kaplan Penthouse and has performed with the Boston Pops and Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He performs regularly as a singer/pianist at various New York cabaret venues.

Darren Dunstan can be heard on numerous animated series, including Yu-Gi-Oh! (Maximillion Pegasus), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Splinter), Chaotic (Kaz), YuGiOh! 5Ds (Andre), Sonic X (Bocoe, Mr. Tanaka), Kirby (Kine), Pokémon (Romeo, Principal) Ultimate Muscle (Vance McMadd, Minch), Viva Pinata (General, Reinhardt) and Funky Cops (Jerry, Jeff).. His voice has been featured on the CW, Cartoon Network, Jetix, Fox, KidsWB and Teletoon in Canada.

Darren is currently voice directing YuGiOh! 5Ds, and has voice directed Chaotic, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dinosaur King, Pokémon, Pat and Stan, Cubix and Fighting Foodons, as well as the recent (and not for kids!) season of Rick and Steve on LOGO. He has also directed numerous YuGiOh! 5Ds, Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Chaotic videogames for Nintendo, Konami and Activision. Darren has also been featured in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie (Pegasus), Yu-Gi-Oh! Music To Duel By, (singing as Pegasus) and commercials for Pokémon videogames.

VOCAL COACHING

Darren Dunstan has been coaching, teaching and musical directing for 12 years. He began in Toronto as an accompanist and musical director for Scarborough Music Theatre, Paradox Productions and St. James Productions, while completing his Music Education degree in voice at the University of Toronto. He was an in-residence vocal coach and accompanist at The Boston Conservatory and graduated with a Masters degree in Musical Theatre.

Darren has been coaching, teaching and accompanying in his New York studio for the last 9 years. His students have been seen in numerous Broadway shows, including Wicked, Hair, Jersey Boys, Memphis, Rock of Ages, A Little Night Music, Mamma Mia!, Hairspray, Les Misérables and Grey Gardens.  He has musical directed, supervised and/or accompanied for such shows as Follies, Annie, South Pacific, Anyone Can Whistle and Pokémon Live!. Darren has played for masterclasses led by Faith Prince, Richard Adler (composer/lyricist: Damn Yankees, The Pajama Game), Jay Binder and Michael Dansicker.
